Craig Fizer
Owner & Trainer
Dog Training Elite North Orlando
Craig’s love for working with dogs began at an early age, appreciating the positive impacts they have on improving people’s lives. He takes pride in teaching clients how to connect with their dogs on deeper levels, enabling them to strengthen their bond. Craig’s career experiences span Software Engineering with a large corporation and VP for a small construction company, where he developed a passion for providing high levels of customer service and problem-solving skills. Ready for a new path, aspiring to work with animals as a career, he was introduced to Dog Training Elite in Utah. Once he learned about their over 40 years of experience, highly effective training methods, and commitment to serving the community, Craig found his new venture. He’s excited to bring a new standard of Elite dog training to Central Florida. In addition to the opportunity to give back to the community through DTE’s partnership with the Malinois Foundation, training service animals for people in need. When he’s not training dogs, he enjoys spending time with his 3 children and 2 dogs, Sadie (Labradoodle) and Murphy (GSP). As a Florida native, he appreciates the great outdoors, golfing, boating, paddle boarding, hiking, and coaching youth sports. He looks forward to meeting you and your canine companion!

Maria Montalvo
TRAINER
My name is Maria Montalvo. I was born in Puerto Rico and have spent most of my life here in Central Florida. I’m a proud mom of four—and of course, my best pup, Scout! Scout and I found each other by fate. A few years ago, I saw her dangerously close to the road and knew I had to stop. The moment I opened my car door, she jumped right in, and from that day forward, our lives changed for the better. She was malnourished and clearly hadn’t been cared for, yet her sweet personality and eagerness to please instantly stole my heart. I couldn’t imagine life without her.
Like any mom, I worried about vet bills and training, not knowing her history. But through that journey, Scout and I built an incredible bond—one that showed me just how powerful the connection between humans and dogs can be. That experience is what fuels my passion as a trainer today.
Being part of the Dog Training Elite family has given me the tools and pride to raise a well-trained, happy pup. I can’t wait to help you and your dog build that same strong bond through balanced, structured training.
Kari Figueroa
TRAINER
My name is Kari Figueroa, and I was born and raised in Puerto Rico. At home, my husband and I share our little oasis with two wonderful dogs, Bohdi and Casper—because every dog lover knows that one is never enough!
For more than a decade, I worked in the entertainment industry, but my true passion has always been animals, especially dogs. After losing a beloved dog, I wasn’t ready to adopt again, so I began fostering. That’s when Bohdi came into my life. Like many foster parents, I became what we call a “foster fail”—and I couldn’t be happier about it. Bohdi not only became my companion, but he also helped me heal during a difficult time.
That experience inspired me to deepen our bond and led me into the world of dog training. From the very first moment, I knew I had found my calling—it felt natural and fulfilling. Now, as part of the Dog Training Elite family, I’m passionate about helping other owners unlock their dog’s full potential through balanced training, building trust, and strengthening the incredible connection between people and their dogs.
Jaeden Ibbott
TRAINER
Hello, my name is Jaeden, and these are my two incredible dogs—Storm, my loyal Boxer mix, and King Tut, my South African Boerboel. I proudly served 4 years in the U.S. Army as a Non-Commissioned Officer, where I developed strong leadership and training skills that I now bring to the world of dog training.
My passion for training began 17 years ago when I first welcomed Storm into my life. Day after day, I dedicated myself to her basic and advanced obedience, and that experience sparked a lifelong love for helping dogs and their families.
Today, I specialize in working with extra-large breeds like King Tut, as well as many other strong-willed, powerful dogs that require both skill and patience. My goal is to help every dog reach their fullest potential while building a deeper bond with their owner. Schedule your free in-home assessment today, and let’s work together to transform your dog into the well-behaved, confident companion you’ve always envisioned.
Obedience Training
Dog Training That Solves Everyday Problems
A dog should bring joy, not stress. Without structure, even the most loving pet can pull on the leash, jump on guests, or ignore commands. Our obedience training fixes these issues so your dog becomes the calm, reliable companion you always wanted.
Designed Around Your Lifestyle
We know every family is different. That’s why our programs include in-home sessions for personal coaching and group classes for real-world practice. From basic commands to advanced on- and off-leash training, we prepare your dog to listen at home, in the neighborhood, and out in public — no matter the distractions.
More Than Training — A Lasting Investment
The real cost of skipping training is safety. Investing in obedience now gives you a dog you can trust anywhere, anytime. Starting young sets puppies up for a lifetime of good behavior, while older dogs benefit too — breaking bad habits, building confidence, and staying active and healthier for years to come.
Obedience Training Programs Focus:
- Mastering Core Commands
- Improved Behavior at Home & in Public
- Proper Canine Socialization
- Leash Etiquette
- Human/Canine Trust & Teamwork
